JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: University Housing is looking for Cooks to join our team! Join our group of food service staff made up of talented professionals dedicated to providing our residents, staff, and visitors with nutritious meals made from locally-sourced ingredients and produce. We\'re also offering a \$2,000 to \$4,000 hiring bonus, significant night and weekend shift differentials, and a free meal for every shift! Responsibilities: Performs a variety of food preparation activities and related tasks according to quality and safety standards in dining, retail, and/or catering venues to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve departmental food service goals. 40% Performs routine and non-routine food preparation activities including cook to order and specialty foods 15% Trains and guides student workers 15% Greets customers, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation and associated activities 15% Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas 15% Adheres to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures Tasks: Demonstrate and role model exceptional customer service Interact with English speaking customers while displaying knowledge of food products, allergens and food safety. Perform duties in a high-volume, dynamic, student residential dining environment. Perform food production to include batch cooking, cook-to-flow, and made-to-order display cooking. Provide support and assist as needed in the implementation of plans and procedures in the event of an emergency.
