Responsibilities: Performs a variety of food preparation activities and related tasks according to quality and safety standards in dining, retail, and/or catering venues to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve departmental food service goals. 40% Performs routine and non-routine food preparation activities including cook to order and specialty foods 15% Trains and guides student workers 15% Greets customers, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation and associated activities 15% Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas 15% Adheres to federal, state, campus, and local food safety regulations, policies, and procedures Tasks: Demonstrate and role model exceptional customer service Interact with English speaking customers while displaying knowledge of food products, allergens and food safety. Perform duties in a high-volume, dynamic, student residential dining environment. Perform food production to include batch cooking, cook-to-flow, and made-to-order display cooking. Provide support and assist as needed in the implementation of plans and procedures in the event of an emergency.
