JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: UW Clinical Trials Institute (CTI) is a partnership between the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) and UW Health. It supports clinical research professionals, investigators, and participants to advance discovery and research in the prevention, detection, and treatment of disease to help improve the health of individuals, families, and communities across Wisconsin and beyond. Our exceptionally talented workforce provides care, support, and provide information to clinical trials participants; resources, training, and guidance to research professionals; and opportunities for industry partners to advance groundbreaking medical research. CTI is seeking a Clinical Trials Budget Negotiator who will work directly with principal investigators, clinical trials leadership, and research teams, to prepare and negotiate budgets and contracts with clinical trials sponsors based on required reimbursement at UW. This position will prepare and route proposals for submission to sponsors and internal stakeholders. They will also review subsequent award terms and conditions and works with the fiscal team to facilitate award setup and administration. Candidates must feel comfortable in a timeline driven role, be self-motivated and be highly detailed-oriented with excellent organizational skills. This position interacts with many different teams and customers and assists in identifying and implementing quality process improvements to ensure that processes are efficient and timely. Responsibilities: Manages and/or provides pre-award administration of sponsored grants, contracts, and awards. Reviews and approves proposal submission documents on behalf of a unit to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and terms and conditions.
