Job Description Summary

The Bone & Metabolic Health (BMH) Global Clinical Leader will be responsible for providing the BMH business with clinical insights and has significant input into the priorities to shape the strategic direction of the business and drive growth. This role contributes to the design and development of products and their interaction with the human body. Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. High degree of clinical knowledge in dual-x-ray absorptiometry (DXA), bone densitometry, body composition and operational judgment is required to achieve outcomes required. There is moderate autonomy within the role.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • This role acts as the interface between the clinical customer and the Engineering, and Product Management teams; focuses on collecting user needs and user experience requirements. Individuals in this role typically have a clinical background or experience in a healthcare provider setting.

  • Requires specialized knowledge in dual-x-ray absorptiometry (DXA), bone densitometry, and body composition. Influences the development of clinical and research strategy for the care area of responsibility and maintaining a high level of safety and quality in design.

  • This role will involve developing relationships with key opinion leaders

  • Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility

  • This role will be the clinical subject matter expert for the BMH business globally and will provide support to customers and region commercial teams.

  • This role will support regulatory submissions for the DXA product market clearance by providing relevant clinical input

  • This role will be responsible for developing clinical training material for the BMH DXA product portfolio and training global clinical teams and commercial teams to improve go-to-market effectiveness

  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

  • Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry and international clinical trends that may inform work.

  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED degree with at least 6 years of clinical field experience experience)

  • 3+ years of experience within a clinical background

  • Experience with research in the medical field

Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established organizational and leadership skills.

  • In-depth of clinical knowledge in bone densitometry and body composition.

  • ISCD or ARRT certification
