JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position with research focused on energy systems modeling and simulation. The department is interested in candidates whose research can address fundamental challenges in energy conversion, storage, and transmission. Applicants with research focused on computational modeling of chemical, mechanical, and electrochemical energy systems are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will be interested in collaborative work with existing centers and faculty in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and throughout campus. Candidates who transcend the traditional boundaries of Mechanical Engineering to incorporate insights from Electrical and Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and other related disciplines in order to address high-impact societal problems related to areas described above are especially encouraged to apply.
