1st Shift Weld Training Coordinator

We are looking for a talented 1st Shift Weld Training Coordinator join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engine Business Segment in Mineral Point, WI.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Coordinates the logistical support required for delivering training and development programs. Contributes to the planning and implementation of training and development programs.

  • Prepares instructional materials including participant guides, instructor guides, presentations, tests and job aids.

  • Assists with needs analysis, audience analysis and tasks analysis.

  • Conducts basic external research to identity and evaluate training and development programs available through vendors and educational institutions.

  • Gathers data for cost-benefit analysis of alternative instructional material development solutions such as modifications, purchases or developments.

  • Maintains records and reports on individual and group training progress using common tools and systems.

  • Implements evaluation plans and prepares evaluation reports.

  • Gathers data and information required improvement recommendations.

  • Administers learning and development activities, instructor-led events and e-learning, including communication, scheduling events, facilitators, employees, vendors and facilities, and coordinating materials and conference room logistics.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

· Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience.

Additional Details

  • Conducts basic internal research to identify and evaluate training and development needs for individuals, line leads, supervisors, products, certain manufacturing operations or manufacturing lines.

  • Evaluates cosmetic weld reports and records them digitally for welder evaluations. Develops a welder evaluation system that promotes improvement of customer perception.

  • Communicate through basic MS office suite of software Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point Chat, Zoom and File Explorer.

  • Uses emotional intelligence and social sophistication to develop positive coaching experiences with welders and supervisors.

  • Desire to further education by obtaining anyone or more of the following certifications:

  • Certified Welding Inspector; Certified Welding Educator; Certified Welder, or Other – as pertinent to his / her job functions preferred.
