Join us as our new QC Lab Technician

The position will work as part of a team responsible for the quality control processes performed in a GMP-compliant manufacturing facility. All team members must be mindful of production timelines while supporting the achievement of quality, safety, sales and production goals.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Performing all required in-house quality control testing on samples for approval and in accordance with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions, etc.

  • Performing environmental monitoring of the facility, as needed

  • Preparing chemical and bacteriological media, reagents, and test solutions used in the laboratory

  • Utilizing aseptic techniques to ensure sterility of all media, equipment, and work area

  • Performing routine equipment calibrations or verifications (e.g., scales, pH meters) in compliance with testing and production parameters

  • Keeping detailed and accurate records in appropriate company database (SAP, LIMS) of all conducted tests, evaluation, and analyses

  • Communicating any testing nonconformance to relevant stakeholders e.g., QC Management, PMG, QA, Production, as necessary

  • Assisting with training and onboarding of staff in areas of attained proficiency

To succeed you must hold:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university in Microbiology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry or related field (Preferred)

  • A basic understanding of microbiology, chemistry and practical application of general laboratory skills

  • Excellent communication, organizational, planning, problem-solving and follow-up skills

  • The ability to handle multiple, rapidly changing priorities and handle unanticipated events without losing sight of core responsibilities

  • Incorporate a sense of urgency for initiation, completion, and communication of testing results and findings

  • Work effectively as an individual or team player in a diverse work group

  • Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet goals and ensure product quality
