Job Description / Shipping Lead

OVERVIEW:

You will be responsible for organizing all outgoing orders by placing packages into the correct shipping containers. You will provide guidance to ensure operations are completed correctly, efficiently and on time. Committed to environmental protection and to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all employees. RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Leading and training team members

Communicating with employees and branches

Inspecting product for damage and documenting discrepancies

Sorting product into correct locations

Stacking product efficiently

Consolidating, loading and unloading shipments

Maintain the cleanliness/organization of work area

Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations

Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives

Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed

Proficient written and oral communication skills

Knowledge of computer operations, including: oper1, WMS and Microsoft Office Applications

Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

Work independently as well as in a team environment

Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency

Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed

Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs

Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience operating a forklift
