Summary: Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team-oriented individuals to be on our transportation team! Working as a Full-time Driver (DOT - CDL) -, you will be representing our fleet as you deliver from Fastenal Distribution Centers to branches and customer on-site locations. You will operate a safe, well-maintained, and late model tractor trailer or straight truck. Delivery trucks are pre-loaded, in order of delivery, by warehouse employees prior to departure and you will be responsible for unloading the freight at each stop along your route; most routes average 10-12 stops. We offer established routes that may see periodic change based off the needs of the company. Duties & Responsibilities: Utilizing a handheld scanner. Unloading products from trucks by hand, pallet jack, or by forklift. Providing excellent service to our branches and customers by delivering products in a prompt, efficient manner. Interacting with our shipping and receiving departments. Maintaining a clean work environment with our equipment. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area. Inspecting and reporting defects or issues in equipment. Complying with DOT and Fastenal safety regulations. Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations. Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety, and sustainability objectives. Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings.

Requirements and Qualifications[]{#Hlk142289191}[]{#Hlk142304825}: Excellent written and oral communication skills. Possess or are currently in the process of obtaining a Commercial Driver's License. Possess a current Health Card OR can obtain one. Possess a current Haz Mat endorsement OR can obtain one (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY). Meet Fastenal driving record requirements. Demonstrate strong working knowledge of the DOT regulations regarding a CDL Driver. Maintain DOT regulated Drivers Hours-of-Service. Willingness to drive interstate routes across state lines. Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork. Lift up to 60 lbs. and maneuver up to 150lbs. Successfully complete the required DOT drug and alcohol screens, road test, employment verification and background check.
