Vertex Aerospace LLC Billing Specialist II BILLI010488 / Madison in Madison, Mississippi

This position is for a Billing Specialist II with a company location in Madison, MS.

 

Summary: The Billing Specialist will create invoices with supporting documents including researching and reconciling costs for fixed price and reimbursable billings, scanning and coping, and communicating with the Customer upon submission of invoices. The Specialist will also create timely and accurate Book Cost to Billed Cost reconciliations for each contract.

 

Standard work week will be six (6) days per week for up to eight (8) hours per day while at OCONUS work site(s).

 

Responsibilities: Coordinate with personnel from various departments to ensure complete and accurate documentation for billing and subsequent collection. Monitor and research costs, and request journal entries to ensure costs are accumulated against work orders/WBSs correctly. Obtain Statements of Completion of Work (SOCOWs), when required, and apply them to monthly billings.Communicate with Customer(s) and personnel from various sites to gain and process accurate billing information. Cooperate and assist during audits, when necessary. Ensure all tasks are performed according to company policy. Exhibit positive, courteous, and professional behavior with customers, businesses, and co-workers. Assist co-workers and those in other departments to successfully perform job tasks and functions when necessary. Follow all safety policies and practices as established by the company and/or regulatory bodies.

 

Requirements: H/S Diploma or equivalent AND 2 years of related experience required.

 

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be in a stationary position 50-60% of the time. The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms/hands/fingers to operate, activate, prepare, place, and position standard office equipment and technology.  The employee may occasionally be required to stand, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed to perform assigned duties. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of weight in positioning or operating standard office equipment such as loading paper into the fax/copier machine. Moving or lifting file boxes for research. 

 

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here represent those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee may be required to visit a shipping or warehouse section of the office building which may have higher or lower temperatures than normal for the office building. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
