The Avionics/Electronics Technician II at a FAA-certified component repair station specializes in the repair, testing, and overhaul of avionics components. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of electronic and avionic systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

Conduct detailed bench repairs of avionic components, including radios, navigation systems, flight control systems, and other avionics equipment.

Test and troubleshoot avionics components to component-level, identifying faults and implementing effective solutions.

Follow stringent FAA regulations and guidelines to ensure all components meet or exceed required standards.

Utilize schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals to guide repair and testing processes.

Maintain precise records of all repairs, tests, and maintenance activities performed on avionic components.

Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to share insights and improve repair processes.

Basic Qualifications:

Associate or bachelor's degree in avionics, electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field (preferred).

3-5 years of experience in avionics or electronics repair, preferably in a component repair station environment.

In-depth knowledge of electronic testing equipment and soldering techniques.

Familiarity with FAA repair station regulations and standards.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex repair tasks.

Effective communication skills and the ability to document work accurately and comprehensively.

Familiarity with DC Electric Motor theory and repair.

Skills:

Proficient in the use of testing and diagnostic equipment for avionics components and DC motors.

Skilled in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and schematics.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
