SEA Wire and Cable, Inc. Production Scheduler Associate in Madison, Alabama
The Production Associate assists the Production Scheduler in the maintenance of production orders to ensure that company goals for value-added services are achieved and that deadlines are met. They must have a strong understanding of the production process and assist in generating and maintaining effective daily and weekly schedules. They assist in posting schedules, receive completed orders, are a resource to assist in solving production problems, assist in the creation of production templates, seek to improve processes, and help fulfill company expectations.
This position's schedule is Monday-Friday, day shift.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in creating and maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Communicate and update information about status updates or production changes.
- Assist in receiving completed production orders.
- Create production templates for value-added processes that require them.
- Reviews production flow to identify areas of improvement.
- Optimizes production workflow and performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent communication and time management skills; proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Highly organized with excellent time-management skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to apply critical and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to squat, bend, and lift. Can lift 5-15 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
