Currently seeking a skilled and experienced Vertical Lathe Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in operating vertical lathes, with a focus on precision machining and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you are detail-oriented, reliable, and take pride in producing high-quality work, we want to hear from you!

salary: $26 - $26.01 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 5:30 AM - 2 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Horizontal and vertical mills and ensure all materials are readily available.

• Perform G and M code basic editing.

• Manufacture product that meets quality requirements.

• Inspect product and, if non-conforming, process via non-conforming material procedures.

• Carry out production, 1st piece inspection, and machine operation duties.

• Meet time and schedule standards for assigned work.

• Correctly process work via required paperwork and MRP system.

• Advise supervision of issues that arise.

• Translating engineering documents (drawings, specifications, etc.) into logical processes to complete tasks.

• Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management.

• Maintain a safe and clean workspace.

• Follow established safety rules and regulations.

• Ensure that every machine procedure is done in accordance with the strict safety guidelines of the company.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• working in a non-temperature controlled environment

• manual lifting up to 50lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time

• working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week

• working weekends

Skills

• Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) (3 years of experience is required)

• Blueprint Reading (3 years of experience is required)

• CNC (3 years of experience is required)

• CNC Horizontal (3 years of experience is required)

• MRP (3 years of experience is required)

• G and M code editing (3 years of experience is required)

• Math and Calculation (3 years of experience is required)

• Vertical Mills (3 years of experience is required)
