As Commercial Head of in Australia & New Zealand you’ll be responsible for providing innovative leadership and strategic direction to sales, marketing and cross functional team members to promote in current indications and launch into future indications across multiple markets.
You will be dedicated to meeting and exceeding the expectations and requirements of the entire spectrum of customers and stakeholders, while delivering on the execution of the global and local Multi Country Organisation business objectives.

Main responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategic Direction
Establish, communicate, and oversee implementation of short and long-term goals, priorities and policies for the Business Unit for current and future Indications within Australia and NZ
Champion the development of fully integrated Customer Engagement plans incorporating but not limited to Omnichannel Engagement and delivering true value to our customers
Champion the market and customer needs of Australia and New Zealand in Brand Plans
Develop and consolidate all revenue and expense budgets and forecasts for approval – on both inline promoted and future indications & cohorts
Accountable for budgeting (revenue and investment) as cost centre manager
Accountable for sales target attainment and spend within budget
Oversee launch excellence planning and execution to ensure launches are fully optimised. Including: market analysis, product positioning, market access strategy, messaging, forecasting, and life cycle management
Oversee the overall Business Unit Performance. Take action as needed to highlight strong performance and along with leaders work to drive adjustments as needed to enhance performance
Partner effectively within our Multi Country Organisation – priority stakeholders including Franchise Head and team to optimise performance.
Partner effectively with the functional heads of MA and Regulatory & corporate affairs to optimise lead time to market for all future indications and cohorts.
Champion the needs of HCP’s and Patients across the Business Unit and within Sanofi.
Direct and manage the activities of the National Sales Manager’s and Marketing positions who in turn lead the sales and marketing organisations.
Ensure coordination of efforts between the Australian, South Korea and global Specialty Care cross-functional team members (GRMA, regulatory, medical etc) to work effectively within the Sanofi matrix structure.

Manage, motivate and empower direct reports
Identification and development of talent with the ANZ team - striving to ensure our team members reach their full potential
Hire, train, supervise and develop staff; provide timely and appropriate performance feedback; handle disciplinary and motivational issues in accordance with local policies; make associated compensation recommendations
Identify development areas and institute plan to leverage strengths and improvement in areas of development.
Ensure quality Individual Development Plans are in place and active for all employees within the Business Unit
Empower and positively influence colleagues who are engaged in activities to enhance the success of the brand and company
Commit to and complete people leadership processes across the business unit
About you
Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business
Masters in Business Administration (desirable)
Demonstrated successful Business Unit leadership experience (3 years plus) in biopharmaceuticals
Strongly evidenced experience of partnership in successful market access strategies – preferably in a health technology assessment market
Demonstrated success in management of a major and or diverse Business Unit
Previous experience as a member of an enterprise leadership team
Therapeutic area experience within Immunology
Demonstrated experience in transformational leadership
Demonstrated success in talent development within your teams
Strong working knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand Payor’s and major stakeholders.
Fluent in Omnichannel engagement in healthcare sector
Thorough understanding of business finance and accounting
Demonstrated and successful track record in sales and marketing leadership
Comprehensive understanding of clinical development, project management and therapeutic area
