BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY:

This position supervises daily activity in branch warehouse, counter service/showroom and maintains branch inventory at three MSC branch locations.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manages delivery fleet and drivers including maintenance, repairs, and vacations.

· Records and maintains all necessary DOT compliance training and records.

· Manages warehouse associates to ensure that customer satisfaction, associate development and the achievement of daily workflow is completed.

· Provides training reinforcement and support as needed to position associates for success.

· Aligns branch locations on processes and procedures.

· Holds one on one meetings with warehouse associates to discuss performance to goal.

· Documents consistent under performance below job expectations on a regular basis and changes in behavior needed to drive associate success.

· Take corrective action up and including termination for associates consistently performing below expectations

· Works closely with customer service, sales, and inventory to achieve optimal inventory levels

· Maintains all warehouse vehicles, including training of warehouse associates on use. Maintains documentation.

· Maintains branch building and grounds including scheduling maintenance and repairs by qualified contractors.

· Maintains branch inventory according to MSC policy and procedure.

· Performs and records daily, monthly and yearly cycle counts according to MSC policy and procedure.

· Receives inventory and stocks in warehouse.

· Maintains bins according to MSC policy and procedure.

· Responsible for counter and walk in customer service including customer pick ups at branch location.

· Performs routine safety training for warehouse associates in accordance with MSC policy and procedure.

· Order and maintain branch warehouse supplies according to MSC policy and procedure.

· Drives the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission.

· Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

· High School Diploma or equivalent related experience required.

· Customer service experience is a warehouse environment required.

· Prior supervisory experience is required.

SKILLS:

· AS400 Proficiency

· Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency

· Strong Excel skills required.

Hearing, seeing (including depth perception and peripheral vision), ability of mental coordination. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment as required for position. Mentally alert for entire shift.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

· Ability to operate a fork lift

Compensation starting at $56000 - $70000 depending on experience.

The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
