Amazon Program Manager, Strategy, Amazon Freight EU in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Description

Amazon Freight Europe is looking for a Program Manager to join the Strategy team for our externalized freight business as we design and deliver a world class freight experience for our business customers. They will partner closely with Product, Program, Operations, and Commercial leaders to identify the challenges and opportunities in our organization, and come up with creative, customer-driven solutions to solve them. The PM will help shape our long-term business plan, diving deep with leaders across multiple areas to define customer problems and deliver the solutions.

As a Program Manager for Amazon Freight EU, your mission will be pioneering new ways of thinking, designing, and delivering. You will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, continuously scoping out new solutions. You’ll conduct your own research and analysis, always with an eye on the long-term vision of the business. This is your opportunity to have a big impact on some of the most exciting new ideas that are shaping the future of Amazon.

This person will need to navigate a complex, matrixed stakeholder environment, navigate ambiguity, and drive leadership consensus on the strategic path forward for the program. A background in freight, logistics, middle mile, supply chain, or program management is a plus

This role is open to candidates working out of Luxembourg or London

Key job responsibilities

-Create innovative solutions using data and research to address wider challenges in your organization

-Take a big-picture approach in your analysis of business operations, driving improvements across a range of teams and organizations

-Work alongside senior leadership to establish and prioritize improvement programs, seeing them through from start to finish

-Enhance operational performance on every program in partnership with your stakeholders

Basic Qualifications

  • A degree

  • Relevant experience communicating with and influencing a range of different stakeholders

  • Relevant experience in managing medium-to-large scale programs or projects

  • Proficiency in verbal and written English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced or master's degree

  • Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Prince2 certifications, or any other project management certification

  • Relevant experience working in a supply chain, logistics, or operations environment

  • Experience in conceptualising and implementing operational or supply-chain management improvements
