The Paralegal IA&R EMEA provides legal and strategic advice to CBRE’s Investment Accounting & Reporting (“IA&R”) business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (“EMEA”). The individual plays a key role in developing and sustaining legal risk management initiatives for IA&R across the region while furthering the Group’s commercial goals.
This role is a high visibility position that requires assisting the EMEA legal team with coordination across multiple jurisdictions and continuous engagement with various levels of the Group’s personnel across EMEA (with a significant focus on Luxembourg).
Key Responsibilities:
Review and negotiate non-disclosure agreements.
Assist the EMEA legal team in the preparation of all types of contracts related to IA&R services in EMEA with a significant focus on Luxembourg (including outsourcing agreements, intercompany agreements, central administration agreements, corporate services agreements, master services agreements, statement of work and selected non-routine, complex local, pan-European).
Assist the EMEA legal team in collecting signatures and executing legal documents (including letters, NDAs, all types of agreements and statement of work).
Act as an archiving/filing coordinator, ensuring proper storage of legal documents and organizing physical filing when necessary.
Assist the EMEA legal and onboarding team to track all types of contracts and include all documentation in the contract management tool (Onspring).
Ensure that all external lawyers hired by IA&R EMEA are logged in the Legal Tracker (litigation tracking platform).
Assist the EMEA legal team with ad hoc requests.
Initiate and implement ad hoc projects as instructed by the EMEA legal team, and proactively identify new initiatives or projects beneficial for the legal team and for the business colleagues.
Liaise with the external legal partners when required.
Required profile :
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration or a related field.
At least 3 years’ experience within a similar role.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in French is a plus.
Experience with legal and corporate terminology and documentation.
Knowledge of commercial contract law (Luxembourg and EMEA). Experience in the PSF sector and in-depth knowledge of investment funds is a plus.
