The Amazon Pay Global Marketing team is seeking an experienced Partner Marketing Manager, Sr Manager, to lead business and marketing relationships with our largest, business-critical partners. Amazon Pay’s mission is to provide Amazon customers a superior paying experience anywhere they shop, by extending the Amazon checkout experience customers know and love to third-party merchant sites. We are a high-growth startup business within Amazon and our objective is to make Amazon Pay an ubiquitous payment option for customers.

The Head of Partner Marketing manages the relationship with key strategic distribution partners of Amazon Pay. They will own partner relationships and performance, including merchant experience on partner, cross-channels campaigns and promotions, and various strategic growth initiatives. They will collaborate closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including BD team, leading partner-facing negotiations, Product and Tech leading feature development for merchant and partner experience, and Marketing and Brand teams on development of content and marketing strategies.

This is a new role, so the right candidate can work independently, will want to roll up their sleeves, and is comfortable working across functions and in unstructured, ambiguous problems. They will be building strategy, programs, metrics and tools from scratch. The successful candidate possesses high business judgement, a strong track record of program and stakeholder management and relationship building, and an ability to lead across the different levers that influence on-partner growth.

This leader will be in charge of hiring and developing a high-performing team of Partner Marketing Managers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop partner relationships to improve Amazon Pay distribution merchant experience, processes and/or pricing

  • Influence BD roadmap of new partner onboarding, provide direction on new contract negotiation, and set terms for marketing-related contractual elements

  • Lead negotiation and development of marketing, promotional and other growth initiatives on partners, plan and execute marketing campaigns and initiatives on partners to maximize performance

  • Collaborate with Product and Tech to develop solutions that improve merchant and/or partner experience with Amazon Pay

  • Set goals, track partner performance, and deliver on partner performance goals

  • Perform deep dives, generate insights to uncover growth opportunities, and build strategic plans to grow partners channel long-term

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of managing partner relationships, preferable in tech sales and/or marketing

  • 7+ years experience in managing teams in high-paced space.

  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

  • Demonstrated experience and success leading impactful, cross-functional projects

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong business acumen

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • Experience from Payment industry

  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to navigate an undefined, ambiguous space

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $154,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
