Amazon Finance Manager, Accounting in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Description

Amazon is looking for a proactive and result oriented Finance Manager to become a major contributor to our Accounting team based in Luxembourg and to focus on financial reporting, audit support and statutory compliance. In this position, you will be expected to own and lead positive change including evaluating and streamlining existing processes (through automation) and developing best practice in controllership on an international level.

This position is office-based in our European Headquarters in Luxembourg, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.

Key job responsibilities

• Preparation or review of statutory financial statements under local GAAPs;

• Preparation and review of various deliverables to support both internal and external financial and statutory needs, including analytic commentary and the preparation of supplementary financial analysis for management and other stakeholders;

• Actively contributing to improvement initiatives, standardization, re-engineering of processes and controls, and implementation of best practices;

• Working with various cross-functional stakeholders to maintain efficient and compliant reporting processes, and effective controls;

• Proactively participating in supporting current and future business launch initiatives and other projects;

• Being a key contributor to cross-functional, European and global projects and initiatives, collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organization;

Basic Qualifications

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics

  • Significant experience with an emphasis on accounting and financial reporting, preferably gained within a Big Four firm and / or a multinational organization

  • Thorough level knowledge in reporting requirements under IFRS / US GAAP;

  • Certified accountant qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent)

  • Fluent English proficiency (verbal & written - C1)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid organizational skills along with an aptitude for information technology

  • Comfortable managing ambiguous situations independently

  • Experience in projects management
