JOB SUMMARY Building and repairing railroad track and other railroad related tasks. Employee will operate straight or articulated rubber-tired tractor type vehicle equipped with front mounted hydraulically powered bucket, forklift, medium duty type section truck, back hoe, skid loader, wheel loader, on and off-track excavator, double axel roto on track dump truck, ballast regulator (set up for snow removal) tie crane, ballast regulator track tamper tie inserter spiker and spike puller. To be successful in this position, you will need the following: Up to one-month related experience or training. Must have a Class A CDL license or being able attend inhouse DOT training. Must be able to qualify as valid worker under FRA standards. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance. Must be able to obtain DOT medical card. Ensure FRA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulation compliance including attending training. Typical hours during Production for this position are M-F 6am-5pm. Maybe 1 Saturday per month. Typical hours during Maintenance are M-F 7am-3pm. No Saturdays.
