Wayfair Gatehouse Administrator in Lutterworth, United Kingdom

Location: Lutterworth

Shift : 4 on 4 off

Working Hours: 6:00 - 16:00

Pay Rate: £13.81 per hour

Contract Type: 9 months Fixed Term

Flexibility to cover sickness / holiday is required

Step into the wonderful world of Wayfair! As an ecommerce global supplier of home furniture and accessories we are on a mission to help everyone love their home. Based out of our UK Distribution Centre, as a Gatehouse Administrator you will act as a first point of contact for all vehicles entering the site and will be responsible for managing site access and maintaining accurate records of all entries and exits.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and control the entry and exit of vehicles, to and from the facility.

  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing vehicles, including details such as vehicle registration, driver details, time of entry/exit, and cargo information.

  • Provide assistance and information to drivers, in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Direct and manage the flow of traffic within the facility to prevent congestion and ensure the smooth movement of vehicles.

  • Liaise with warehouse and logistics staff to coordinate vehicle movements, ensuring efficient loading and unloading processes.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven success operating within an administrative, transport and/ or operational support role. Ideally gained within a similar environment such as transport, distribution, logistics, supply chain.

  • Strong customer service approach, someone who quickly builds rapport and consistently delivers a positive customer experience.

  • Effective communication skills (both verbally and written) for liaising with 3rd party suppliers, internal members and visitors.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively, especially during busy periods.

  • Good IT skills with comfort in Google Suite or similar office software.

  • Ability to handle ad-hoc issues that may arise outside of core business.
