St. Joseph Health Sr. Financial Analyst - CHP in Lubbock, Texas

Overview:

To support the financial reporting and analytical processes by analyzing contract performance in order to identify trends and cost reduction opportunities. Develops variance analysis and communicate drivers of performance to director of Finance.

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Understanding of healthcare claim; Inpatient, outpatient, and/or post-acute care.

  2. Have experience in analysis of healthcare or business related data and information systems.

  3. Responsible for data compilation, data management, data analysis and reporting.

  4. Set up process for monitoring, tracking, and trending information and data using various data sources.

  5. Develops trend analysis reports that monitor contracts key performance indicators and compares them to the benchmarks.

  6. Performing detail analyses of patients and financial claim data to interpreting trends or deviations and making recommendations.

  7. Designs and implements improvements in executive level financial presentations, including dashboards for executive leadership, Finance Committee and Board of Directors presentations

  8. Produces and analyzes the financial performance for various provider contracts including incentive programs, as well as other financial terms of contracts

  9. Analyzes contract performance, and provides management with insights on trends, financial summaries and ways to optimize performance. Effectively track results and explain variances

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Education : BBA degree, with major in finance or accounting

Experience : Minimum of 3 years experience in a financial management or analysis position.

Preferred Position Qualifications:

Healthcare experience
