Description We are looking for a experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Housing Association industry. Based in Loveland, Colorado, this role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with managing various accounting functions including account reconciliation, controllership functions, and financial audits.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct account reconciliation and balance sheet account reconciliation with precision.

• Oversee controllership functions and controllership activities.

• Manage cash reconciliations and ensure accurate records.

• Conduct month-end financial close activities and year-end audits.

• Handle financial close process and maintain financial integrity.

• Oversee HUD operations and multifamily housing finances.

• Process month-end close activities with efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.

• Collaborate with various teams to optimize financial operations.

• Implement and maintain accounting best practices. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a Housing Association or related industry.

• Proven expertise in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, and Cash Reconciliations.

• In-depth knowledge of Controllership Functions, Controllership, and HUD.

• Experience working with Multifamily Housing.

• Proficiency in handling Month-end Financial and Month-end Close Activities.

• Ability to conduct and manage Financial Audits and Financial Close Process.

• Experience in Year-end Audits.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

• Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Commitment to continuous learning and detail oriented development.

• Familiarity with regulations and standards in the housing association industry.
