As the Firmware Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of 9 Firmware Engineers in the analysis, design, programming, debugging, troubleshooting, and modification of firmware (embedded software system) applications.

Reporting to the Senior Firmware Engineering (FWE) and SQA Manager, you will oversee firmware/embedded software new product development activities, ensuring the team’s processes and standards are implemented and sustained to bring our water quality products to life. This position is located onsite in Loveland, CO with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday’s.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Directing development and implementation of team goals using a collaborative approach, supporting the team of firmware engineers.

  • Coaching the team on best practices, influencing organizational acceptance and leading change management activities as a positive role model.

  • Supervising daily activities of the Firmware team, setting priorities, monitoring work activities, balancing workloads, and coordinating with other functional managers.

  • Developing, implementing, and sustaining KPIs for function, determining resources and tollgates for new product development projects.

  • Ensuring compliance with design processes and implementing/sustaining the Veralto Enterprise System to continuously improve function.

  • Addressing complex issues of diverse scope, selecting techniques for solutions, and defining development strategies to revolutionize user experiences.

  • Identifying and tracking work for multiple new programs running in parallel, providing technical depth and alternatives to facilitate business trade-off discussions, and leading technical discussions with NPD and sustaining teams.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Education : BS with a minimum of 5 years of firmware/embedded software experience or an MS with 3 years of experience.

  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership capacity where the candidate is leading teams.

  • Ability to investigate and resolve complex problems using a thorough understanding of the fundamentals involved in engineering principles.

  • Experience leading Firmware design and implementation.

  • Experience developing single microprocessor/microcontroller instruments using Linux, RTOS, or bare metal.

  • Demonstrated history of Agile project management, continuous integration, and unit testing.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
