Continental RnD Group Leader Material Industrialization in Lousado, Portugal

As Group Leader in our Material & Process Industrialization (MatPI) team in RnD you supervise the industrialization activities for dedicated serial compounds and hot processes.

You mentor, coach and develop our new team in Lousado and support their personal and professional growth.

You establish and continuously improve required business procedures for a successful industrialization of our innovative compounds and hot process technologies and by this you contribute to an efficient and stable serial production.

By having a close cooperation with our development stakeholder, you understand the requirements and the impact of future technologies on the industrialization and production. You identify existing gaps and you drive the implementation of improvement measures.

You drive the application of analytical methods, further strengthen our early risk assessments within the development and ensure the required risk mitigation activities to maximize the number of efficient right first-time industrializations. By the continuous digitalization of our workflows and procedures you improve our efficiency and ensure an attractive work environment.

You ensure the interface connection between the dedicated plants within your teams’ responsibility and the RnD functions for material and hot process related topics. You support our Quality functions for Compound Excellence and in the handling of non-conformities of our serial compound production.

  • Academic degree in Chemistry or Physics Engineering, or natural science related fields

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the area of material development

  • Project leading experience

  • Leadership Experience (preferable)

  • Intercultural competency along with clear and open communication abilities that support the growth of diversity

  • Strong problem-solving ability as well as strength to bring topics forward

  • High customer focus and excellent interface management competence

  • Capability to lead cross functional teams

  • Solid computer skills and Office tools;

  • English language skills (written and spoken);

  • Availability for travelling internationally.
