Description

We are in the search for a diligent Tax Sr. - Corporate to join our team in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky. This role is pivotal in maintaining compliance with federal and state tax regulations, formulating tax strategies, and providing expert advice on tax-related matters. You will be working closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax accounting and financial reporting. Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all tax laws and regulations.

• Collaborate with external advisors for tax compliance processes that have been outsourced.

• Oversee the data collection and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns.

• Manage the data collection and review of US sales and use tax returns.

• Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position.

• Identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.

• Provide expert advice on tax implications of business decisions and transactions.

• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax accounting and financial reporting.

• Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and related financial statement disclosures.

• Manage tax audits and examinations by federal, state, and local tax authorities.

• Resolve tax-related inquiries and disputes in a timely and efficient manner.

• Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure the company's compliance.

• Develop and maintain internal controls and processes to support tax compliance.

• Utilize skills in Indirect Tax Compliance, Indirect Tax, Federal Tax, Intercompany Accounting, Annual Tax Provision, and Annual External Audit for effective tax planning strategies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • CPA Certification or Master's Degree in Taxation is highly preferred.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive tax compliance experience, preferably in a large corporate setting.

  • Comprehensive understanding of U.S. GAAP and all federal, state, local, and international tax laws.

  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are imperative.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically in Excel.

  • Experience with tax software and applications.
