Job Summary and Qualifications

Student Accounts Receivable is responsible for analyzing transactions and for providing financial and accounting services to students and employees and resolving concerns with student accounts and other related transactions.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Award agency payments received by campuses to Colleague.

  2. Award institutional funds

  3. Review bank transactions for student fund sources and award to Colleague

  4. Reconcile daily campus deposits.

  5. Issue student credit balance payments

  6. Record Colleague transactions to accounting system.

  7. Monitor student account balances monthly.

  8. Support and advise campus bursars with collection efforts as needed.

  9. Assist with month end closing procedures.

  10. Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Education : Bachelor’s Degree in business related field is preferred, but not required.

  • Experience : 1 year or more of experience in Higher Education is desirable.

  • Special Qualifications : Strong communicator; problem solving skills; ability to work independently as well as function as a team; Self starter and ability prioritize effectively.

  • PC skills in Microsoft Office and internet applications; Advanced Microsoft skills preferred.

  • Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment : Must be able to sit at a desk for eight hours. May required prolong monitor viewing, and extensive use of keyboard.

  • Degree of Supervision: Minimal
