Actalent Structural Engineer in Louisville, Kentucky

Job Title: Structural EngineerJob Description

An exciting opportunity is now available for a Structural Engineer. Your key responsibilities will be to work under a licensed Engineer with moderate supervision, interpret Structural, Architectural and MEP drawings, and utilize proficiency in computer-aided design including Revit and AutoCAD to create construction plans and structural drawings. You will be expected to check structural drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness, make basic calculations to estimate beam depths and deflections, and have a thorough understanding of building codes and design criteria used to determine the structural requirements for a project, including the Kentucky Building Code, AISC and ACI requirements.

Hard Skills

  • Ability to interpret Structural, Architectural and MEP drawings

  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD

  • Understanding of building codes and design criteria including the Kentucky Building Code, AISC and ACI requirements

Soft Skills

  • Ability to work under moderate supervision

  • Capability to check work for accuracy and completeness

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Louisville, Kentucky.

Work Environment

This role is based in the Structural Department out of Louisville, KY
