Essential Responsibilities/Job Duties
- Reviews aging reports to resolve denial of claims and for high dollar accounts
- Provides direction in the collection of all assigned accounts
- Communicates any issues and problems related to aging reports and collections
- Notifies management of problems and issues with the department as they arise
- Improves processes within department emphasizing quality and efficiency
- Provides leadership in developing and implementing solutions
- Provides training of system applications and technical support of all Revenue Cycle systems in the areas of collections, claims processing and reports
- Oversees the training of new staff
- Oversees the electronic and manual billing processing of claims
- Other duties as assigned
- Requires a bachelor's degree of accounting, finance or Business Management or any equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three to five years supervisory experience required
- At least five years of experience in the related area as an individual contributor preferred
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have working knowledge of financial software programs. (AS400, HCS, Oracle, Zirmed, preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of revenue cycle
- Must possess exceptional organizational and communication skills and be able to manage numerous areas of responsibilities
- Must be able to function well as a member of a team and must demonstrate leadership and supervisory skills
