A law firm located in Louisville, Kentucky is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join thier team. This position will support a group of trial lawyers who specialize in product liability cases. This position requires a paralegal with past civil defense litigation experience or product liability litigation experience or medical malpractice litigation experience. This is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a competitive compensation and benefits package.

salary: $63,000 - $67,000 per year

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Obtain and analyze medical records and prepare medical summaries.

• Search information from court-related databases as well as other online sources of case information.

• Determine, prepare, and organize materials needed for expert witness review.

• Review, analyze, and organize document productions.

• Summarize transcripts; assemble chronologies of pertinent facts and key documents.

• Trial preparation and support including reviewing and preparing records and exhibits.

• Conduct investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnesses

• Maintain calendars as spreadsheets to track deadlines, dismissals, and status of cases.
