The Executive Director, Pricing, will lead the Pricing organization with responsibility for the Retail, Contract, and Air & Water Pro channels, developing and implementing pricing strategies that align with the company's goals and customer needs. This role owns the wing-to-wing process of price development, promotions, quoting, price programs, discount and backside analysis, price analytics and insights, and price execution. The Executive Director, Pricing, will play a vital role in shaping the company's value proposition and competitive advantage in the market. This role will drive revenue growth and margin expansion by optimizing the pricing strategy and execution across the house of brands, product portfolio and customer segments.

The Executive Director, Pricing, will support the company's strategic initiatives and goals, such as expanding into new markets, launching new products, reaching different consumer segments, pricing tiers, and enhancing customer loyalty and retention. The ability to take strategic, decisive pricing actions in driving business growth will be vital. This position will require extensive leadership and collaboration across the business. Additionally, integrating multiple sources of data will be key to advancing our system and processes and to enhance how we approach, perform and leverage pricing analytics.

How You'll Create Possibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, customer segments, and value propositions to determine optimal pricing models and tactics.

  • Lead the design and execution of pricing experiments and tests to measure the impact of pricing changes on key metrics such as revenue, margin, conversion, retention, and customer satisfaction.

  • Establish and maintain pricing policies, guidelines, and governance processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across the organization.

  • Provide pricing recommendations and support for new product launches, promotions, and contract negotiations.

  • Lead the development and implementation of pricing tools, systems, and dashboards to enable data-driven decision making and reporting.

  • Leverage AI to enable pricing efficiencies, improving processes and positioning AI as a competitive advantage.

  • Build and manage a high-performing pricing team, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity.

  • Work closely with the commercial leadership teams to develop and execute pricing strategy to drive profitable growth.

  • Collaborate across the commercial team to monitor pricing performance and develop commercial actions to drive profitability.

  • Review, evaluate, and approve high profile pricing requests from the sales and product teams to support business objectives.

  • Develop robust analytics to evaluate data from pricing and finance data tools to drive informed and accurate pricing decisions.

  • Train commercial team on pricing methodologies, building their capability to evaluate deals more effectively, and make decisions more proactively.

  • Review product costs to have better profitability estimates.

  • Enhance efficiency, automation, and insights through Pricing tools (like Pricefx) and AI/ML.

  • Simplify pricing processes to enable faster customer response and growth, transforming commercial capability by driving change and speed.

  • Ensure teams are appropriately staffed and oversee organizational resource needs

  • Provide leadership, coaching, support, and learning opportunities to pricing team members to enable career growth and professional development.

  • Develop and ensure employee capability through performance management processes, goal setting, development plans, talent reviews, training, and development with effective staffing decisions.

  • Foster a challenging, inclusive, and rewarding environment where people can perform their best work.

  • Ensure compliance through detailed process rigor and active engagement with legal counsel.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.

  • Minimum 12 years leadership experience in Commercial, Operations, Finance or related field.

  • Outstanding analytical, statistical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate, motivate, and influence at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to understand market dynamics and successfully counsel Commercial team to grow volume while optimizing price/margin.

  • Ability to work well with diverse, remote, cross-functional teams.

  • Strategic thinker with experience presenting solutions to senior-level audiences.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively cross functionally.

Desired Characteristics

  • Managerial experience of 7 years or more

  • Proficiency in pricing tools, systems, and software, such as Pricefx, Excel, MS Access, Tableau, OAC, Salesforce, etc.

  • Deep commercial experience base.

  • Appliance industry experience.

  • Six Sigma MBB or BB certification
