Controls Engineer - Louisville, KY - Onsite w/ travel

We are hiring multiple Controls Engineers to support design, development, testing and commissioning for controls systems integration projects all over the US. This team specializes in controls upgrades and integration for airport baggage handling systems and other material handling systems.

This role requires travel 80-100 days out of the year, with heavier travel in the summer and fall. Travel involves a 10 on and 4 days off schedule and tapers off after Thanksgiving, picking up again in late spring. This is mainly a day shift position but will require some off-shift work to avoid impacting production in the facilities. This role requires you to be local or willing to relocate to Louisville, KY.

Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Program PLCs for UPS or Amazon parcel/post sortation and handling equipment

• Program HMI's as necessary

• Upgrading and retrofitting existing hardware and software

• Troubleshoot PLC programs and suggest solutions to field issues

• Investigate system issues and recommend solutions

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or a related EE/Controls degree

• 3+ years of professional experience designing controls systems, commissioning and troubleshooting PLC industrial control systems

• Must have material handling experience

• Ability to think quickly and communicate with customers on site if there are any issues

• Proface HMI programming is a plus
