Job Summary

This position coordinates operational unload activities to ensure timely processing of customer packages. He/She assists with meeting financial goals through reporting and cost reviews. This position supports employee safety and regulatory compliance. He/She monitors training to ensure a knowledgeable workforce and support operational demands. This position supervises Part-Time Supervisors and Union employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews daily operational reports to manage service, safety staffing, productivity, and financial performance.

  • Participates in daily pre-sort meetings to discuss prior sort results and obtain current sort operational plans.

  • Executes contingency plans to counter the variableness of the sort environment (e.g., late aircraft arrival, mechanical failures, etc.).

  • Communicates cross-functionally to address unique sorting situations(e.g., peak seasons, special sorts, etc.) to implement operational adjustments.

  • Meets with union representatives to improve employee relations and minimize the number of grievances.

  • Inspects equipment to ensure proper working conditions.

  • Distributes safety materials (e.g., pre-work communication meetings, Job Hazard Analysis, etc.) to reinforce safe work methods.

  • Determines employees' safety and training needs to produce continuous development plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent - Preferred

  • Understanding of processes, procedures, and methods for hub feeder unload operations

  • Supervisory experience in hub feeder unload/load operations - Preferred
