Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Louisville, Kentucky

Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to become an integral part of our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles. The ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records, familiarity with relevant software, and high degrees of accuracy and precision are crucial competencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.

  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.

  • Assist in managing the company's general ledger.

  • Process vendor payments and expense reimbursements.

  • Maintain the petty cash fund.

  • Produce routine reports, schedules, and summaries for management.

  • Perform filing and general administrative tasks.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an accounting clerk or equivalent role.

  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and strong math skills.

  • Good practical experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.

  • Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)

  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

  • Diploma or associate's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field.
