Summary

The Machine Operator in GPI’s Louisville, CO Research & Development facility safely operates equipment for pilot line manufacturing trials in a safe and timely manner, focusing on extremely high-quality production, reviewing trials for accuracy, and documenting results of each trial.

Description of Tasks

  • Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies by always performing duties in a safe and orderly manner; be actively engaged in all safety progra ms

  • Reviews trial request for accuracy, offers suggestions and modifications as needed.

  • Documents all trial request results.

  • Identifies potential equipment needs

  • Operates and maintains all pilot line equipment

  • Operates power industrial vehicles, as needed.

  • Receives incoming materials, ships outgoing samples and pallets, and maintains inventory control.

  • Participates in all safety related training activities including Material Data Safety Sheets (MSDS) review and tracking documentation.

Required Skills

  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate with all levels of management and external/internal customers

  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor mechanical failures

  • High level of motivation and the ability the work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to maintain a positive team environment

  • Demonstrated organizational skills and detail oriented; good documentation skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-pace and multi-tasking environment

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment.

  • Experience operating printing presses, laminators, die cutters/sheeters, folder/gluers, powered industrial vehicles, preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to work safely and effectively on and around large manufacturing equipment and in a chemical environment.

Pay Range: $44,220.00 - $55,220.00
