We are hiring a Health Systems Specialist to our growing team! The Health Systems Specialist acts as systems/software support to the entire enterprise, providing technical assistance to all ARC/Odyssey/Pioneer employees. Responds to user requests for service and determines the nature and extent of support needed. Provides support or refers to the appropriate staff member.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as software support to the entire enterprise, providing technical assistance to all employees. Responds to user requests for service and determines the nature and extent of support needed. Provides support or refers to the appropriate staff member.

  • Configures, maintains, and troubleshoots a wide range of software and hardware used throughout the company's operations. As a member of the Health Information Systems team, responds to software problem calls over email, chat, or on the phone for users. Investigates error messages and determines resolution. Calls software vendors or accesses on line technical support to obtain software updates. Investigates appropriate areas of potential problem and determines resolution.

  • Supports a team environment among staff members of the Health Information Systems Department by cooperating and collaborating with other team members. 

  • Acts as an administrator of various systems and platforms used by the company.  As an administrator, the Health Systems Support Specialist is responsible for creating, defining, maintaining and deleting user accounts as well as ensuring that user accounts are granted rights in the various systems with their job roles and responsibilities without having unnecessarily broad access rights.  The Health Systems Support Specialist is responsible for the administration of at least the following systems/platforms used by the company:

  • G-Suite 

  • Kipu, KipuCRM

  • CMD

  • CTM, Intercom

  • MCO Portals

  • Accountable for ensuring continuity of computer system services for computer users by providing the technical expertise, assistance to install computer software products.

  • Possess adequate skill set including critical thinking, problem solving, and excellent communication both oral and written.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of critical IT methods and system architecture and uses that knowledge to prioritize projects and make decisions 

  • Accountable for solving support tickets in an efficient and professional manner

  • Maintain a respectful relationship with employees, interns and persons served/clients.

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times displaying a professional disposition towards fellow staff.

  • Maintain a positive working relationship with Addiction Recovery Care Center/Odyssey, Inc.’s staff and persons served/clients alike.

  • Bring policy/personnel issues to supervision as they arise.

  • Protect the privacy of all staff and persons served/client information in accordance with Addiction Recovery Care Center/Odyssey, Inc.’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider.  Failure to comply with Addiction Recovery Care Center/Odyssey, Inc.’s policies and procedures on persons served/client privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

  • May access protected health information (PHI) and other persons served/client information only to the extent that is necessary to complete your job duties.  The incumbent may only share such information with those who have a need to know specific persons served/client information you have in your possession to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other Addiction Recovery Care Center/Odyssey, Inc.’s operations.

  • Expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding Addiction Recovery Care Center/Odyssey, Inc.’s policies and procedures on persons served/client privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor.

  • Performs other duties assigned.

    Key Experience and Education Needed:

  • High School Diploma or GED required 

  • Demonstrated compatibility with ARC’s mission and operating philosophies 

  • Excellent communication skills. 

  • Multitasking skills 

  • Attention to detail and organization a must

  • Appropriate State and Federal Clearances

  • Possess a strong knowledge of computers, computer programs and experience as an administrator within these environments.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to prioritize work and work related responsibilities.

  • Must have the ability to interact with staff and persons served/clients in a professional manner.

  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and organization.

  • Minimal knowledge of addictions preferred.

  • Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building.

  • Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team. 

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: 

     

  • Maintain  a working knowledge and expertise of Addiction Recovery Care’s Health Information Systems 

  • Adhere to Confidentiality requirements as outlined in 42 CFR, Part 2.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to prioritize work and work related responsibilities.

  • Must have the ability to interact with staff in a professional manner.

  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail. 

  • Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building.

  • Knowledge of Substance Abuse

  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including:

  • Confidentiality

  • Persons served/client rights

  • Professional Code of Ethics

  • Discrimination

  • Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of responsibilities not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction treatment team.

  • Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment  of alcoholism and drug addiction 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive manner

  • Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission  statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create  a safe and healthy relationship with clients served
