Siena College Teaching Assistant Professor of Biology in Loudonville, New York

The Biology Department in the Siena College School of Science is accepting applications for a full-time teaching faculty position to start Fall 2024. Teaching would largely focus on Health Studies Microbiology lecture and labs, a course serving nursing and health studies students. Lectures cover the fundamentals of microbial morphology and physiology and the role of microorganisms in human and animal disease. Labs emphasize standard techniques such as staining and culturing. The successful candidate would additionally have the opportunity to teach in the General Biology sequence or in their area of expertise. This is a full-time, one academic year non-tenure track position (12 contact hours per semester). The possibility of future appointments will be determined by the college at a later day, based upon the needs of the college.

Annual Salary: $60,000.00 - Instructor

$77,410.00 - Assistant Professor

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in the biological sciences. Relevant teaching experience is strongly preferred. Review of the applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
