The Coordinator of Library Instruction is responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing information literacy programs and initiatives within Standish Library. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing students' research and information retrieval skills, fostering critical thinking, and supporting the integration of information literacy across the curriculum. The Coordinator collaborates with faculty, librarians, and other stakeholders to promote effective information literacy instruction and ensures alignment with the institution's educational goals. Full-time, faculty librarian position.

Example of Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and assess info literacy programs

  • Collaborate with faculty to integrate library instruction

  • Plan engaging sessions for diverse student groups

  • Assess impact of instruction on learning outcomes

Annual Salary: $77,410.00

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Master's in Library Science or Information Science

  • 4+ years in academic library settings

  • Experience in instructional design and delivery

  • Familiarity with educational technologies and current trends in information literacy instruction

Preferred:

  • Previous Instruction Coordinator experience

  • Knowledge of Alma and Springshare products

A background screening is required
