JOB SUMMARY

The Experience Concierge works in the heart of the bustling The Bloc retail district in Downtown Los Angeles, providing personalized service for both the visitors to the outdoor retail center and team members of the adjacent office building. Positioned inside the office lobby, the individual in this role will be centrally located to assist with wayfinding, advising on local retailers/attractions and other tasks to make discovering all the amenities of The Bloc as frictionless and fun for team members and visitors alike.

The Bloc is a vibrant, open air urban center in the heart of Downtown LA. The individual in this role would support a concierge desk that is open 365 days per year, should expect a schedule that includes weekends and holiday shifts on an as needed basis.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides personal services to visitors and office tenants such as arrangement of transportation & travel arrangements, wayfinding, parking validations, reception services, specialized amenities, storytelling & Bloc tours, meal & activity reservations, and guest & administrative support, etc. The Concierge also assists with administrative support and tasks, shipping, catering & events planning, coordinating car detailing, laundry & dry-cleaning services, gift & package orders and other services as needed.

Displays a warm friendly, professional greeting to all those entering the property. Answers telephone in friendly, professional manner. Maintains accurate records of service requests and status.

Maintains records and logs of service requests and visitor requests by tracking their status.

Responds promptly with accurate and thorough information according to the specific request. Arranges and confirms recreational, dining, and/or business activities.

Maintains a file of services including transportation sources, accommodations, and referral contacts.

Serves as point-of-contact for the facilities team as representative of the Workplace Concierge team.

Performs property inspections and contacts respective departments for areas that need attention.

Follows security and emergency procedures as defined for the property. Responds to emergency situations in a calm, efficient manner. Summons appropriate assistance and makes appropriate notifications in accordance with operating procedures.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

HS Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree or professional hospitality accreditations preferred.

Prior Customer Service experience required.

A minimum of 1 year of Front Desk, Concierge, customer service or other hospitality experience is preferred.

Strong knowledge of the surrounding area and all recreational, hospitality and business related information.

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.

Comfortable meeting and engaging with new people.

Warm and engaging demeanor and has the ability to assess circumstances, empathize and offer help.

Utilizes a high level of attention to detail as well as strong interpersonal skills.

Has a positive attitude and a strong sense of urgency in resolving any issues that may arise.

Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite, handheld mobile technologies and applications.

Good organizational and strong problem-solving skills. Highly adaptable and flexible.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to co-workers and supervisor.

SAFETY

  1. Complete at a satisfactory level all required and assigned HSE training.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Workplace Experience Concierge position is $45,000 annually [or $21.63 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Workplace Experience Concierge position is $50,000 annually [or $24.03 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
