Responsibilities: Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies stocked in establishment by performing the following duties:
Counts material in stock and posts totals to inventory records.
Compares actual inventories to records in Metalware.
Adjusts errors in computation or count and/or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
Qualifications:
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in metals industry is preferred
Effective communication skills which include verbal and written in English
Basic computer skills are necessary
Must have experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
Willingness to learn mainframe program (internal computer system)
Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, or other measuring device
Willingness to learn to operate forklift/side loader and such along with cutting equipment
Knowledge of basic math skills

Position requires standing, sitting, stooping, and kneeling
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, with assistance
Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception with or without corrected vision
