Description

Robert Half is partnering with a dynamic media company based in West Hollywood, seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant for a temp-to-hire position. This role will support the finance and accounting team, working on-site five days a week. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the media industry and be well-versed in NetSuite. You will be responsible for assisting with various accounting functions, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure the accuracy of journal entries

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing

• Reconcile bank and credit card statements

• Support month-end and year-end close processes

• Assist with payroll and tax filings

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

• Work closely with the finance team to support audits and internal reporting

• Analyze financial data and provide insights for budgeting and forecasting

• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the media industry

• NetSuite experience is highly preferred

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Schedule:

This position requires being on-site in West Hollywood five days a week.
