Position Summary: This person will have professional mannerisms in order to delegate daily work and special projects to team members. Holds leadership skills including coordinating shipping/receiving paperwork, team training, production control, team building, correct behavior, cross training and guide team to success.

Responsibilities:

Assigns duties and monitors work for accuracy and performance. Leads in scheduling orders, expediting critical shipments and maintaining on time performance. Establishes and maintains rapid turn around and short lead times. The Shipping/Receiving Lead er will manage routine cross training schedule to follow TW Corporate guidelines and promote a highly safe, efficient work environment. The Team Leader will support Management in promoting and fostering a positive employee culture, a continuous improvement mindset and excellence in customer service. Provides work direction, both written and orally to the logistics team personnel. Instilling TW Metal’s company culture. Addresses errors and complaints in a timely manner. Operates in supervisory role.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Experience in metals industry helpful.

  • Ability to read, speak and write in the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to work effectively with common PC programs such as spreadsheets (Excel) and word processing (Word). Ability to learn mainframe program (Metalware).
