Job Summary

Essential Responsibilities:

• Ensures all staff is following health and sanitation standards set forth by Levy Restaurants and the local health department.

• Keeps Department Managers and chefs promptly and fully informed on all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken when appropriate.

• Thoroughly familiar with the city, state, and federal health regulations; food handling and sanitation requirements and trains all staff accordingly to minimize company risk and protect employees and guests.

• Committed to an innovative approach and works to continually develop new guidelines, operations, and safety ideas for the business.

• Develops action plans and solutions to issues/problems in a timely manner.

Essential Duties:

• Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary facility by conducting regular inspections of Levy areas to ensure cleanliness and health code standards are met.

• Conducts monthly safety inspections on food and beverage storage areas and ensures warehouse locations, liquor rooms, beer coolers and other storage areas are clean and organized prior to scheduled month end inventory.

• Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in duties concerned with sanitation programs in food processing.

• Inspects products and equipment for conformity to federal and state sanitation laws and Levy standards.

• Trains food handlers and production personnel in sanitary and pest-control procedures.

• Directs cleaning of equipment and work areas.

• Develops and monitors systems within the department to eliminate food -borne illnesses.

• Develops implements and conducts regular staff training on departmental standards and works "hands on" as required.

• Completes all administrative duties needed to perform job function as required (Line checks, temp logs, cooler logs, cleaning schedules, memos, disciplinary forms, etc.).

• Develops, implements, and maintains departmental standards and procedures in conjunction with the management team.

• Maintains a positive work environment with all staff and a team-oriented approach to accomplish tasks.

• Serv-Safe certified to ensure full knowledge of Food Service Sanitation.

• Completes all other duties deemed appropriate by supervisor.
