UCLA Health Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Los Angeles, California

Description

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is

seeking to hire a full-time Clinical Social Worker to join the Antelope

Valley-UCLA Public Partnership (AV-UPP) program. You will provide appropriate

assessment and intervention services to children (ages 0-21), parents, and

families regarding placement, adoption, and attachment. Primary duties include:

  • Providing parent training of children with mental health needs, parents with complex issues around parenting and adoption of prenatally substance exposed children

  • Leading parent support groups and providing therapeutic environments

  • Providing temperament counseling for parents

  • Conducting developmental evaluations of children

  • Providing accurate and timely documentation of provided services

  • Holding caseload of individual therapy and collateral therapy

  • Managing training sessions for clients, social workers, attorneys, judges, educators, and mental health professionals

Salary range: $48.03/hr - $57.40/hrQualifications

Master's degree in Social Work

Valid CA CSW License

Skill, knowledge, and experience with mental health

treatment and intervention techniques for children (ages 0-21) and their

parents

Experience with Department of Mental Health billing and

paperwork requirements (preferred)

Background in parent-child intervention

Knowledge of normal child development, parenting, and child

abuse/neglect

Experience providing evidence-based practices to children

and families (preferred)

Knowledge of basic medical terminology and issues regarding

prenatal substance abuse

Ability to speak clearly, concisely, and in an organized

manner to audience of various backgrounds

Ability to function as an integral member of an

interdisciplinary team
