Robert Half Legal Billing Specialist in Los Angeles, California
Description
A reputable law firm in West LA is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill a temporary-to-permanent position as a Legal Billing Specialist. The ideal candidate should have a thorough understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, expense reimbursements, and vendor statement review.
Responsibilities:
Visa Card Reconciliation: Your responsibilities will include compiling receipts for 5 firm Visa cards, determining administrative vs billable costs, reconciling, and entering monthly.
Expense Reimbursements: You will be responsible for organizing receipts, verifying expenses on forms, determining billable vs administrative costs, and issuing checks on a weekly basis.
Check Request: Your duties will include verifying approval and obtaining documentation to support requests. You will be charged with issuing by the required date.
Vendor Statement Review: You will have to determine what invoices have not been processed and follow-up with the responsible secretary for processing.
Billing Client Costs: Your job role will include entering copy jobs, vendor invoices, expert invoices, and other billable costs in Omega.
Billing Back-up and Daily Check/Invoice Scanning: You will pull monthly back-up for the Billing department and transfer daily AP checks into an electronic folder.
Misc. Daily Payment: Your responsibilities will also extend to paying various partner expenses such as cell phone bills, auto insurance, etc.
Covers AR position in-office as needed: Ability to handle Daily Deposit, cover AR position in-office as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is preferred
Prior accounting experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services firm
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Working knowledge of Omega software is a plus
