Description
A Non-Profit Healthcare Organization is in the need of a Financial Analyst. The Financial Analyst will participate in a wide variety of financial and accounting projects and tasks, including budgeting and forecasting, financial planning and analysis, process evaluation and improvement, and General Ledger analysis and review.
Responsibilities Include:
Work closely with program directors, managers, and staff to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations.
Provide accounting functions for special projects including monthly entry preparation, invoice reconciliation, trial balance verification and account reconciliation.
Track, analyze, and report revenue and cost trends with recommendations for improvements.
Provide support to the CFO, Senior Director of Finance and Accounting and other members of the Finance Staff in the monthly general ledger closing process.
Provide monthly financial variance reporting.
Manage all processes to achieve a timely, accurate monthly close, sound financial controls, and to provide meaningful information to senior management and the Board of Directors.
Coordinate with the Grant Team to work with the Development department to provide financial support for grant applications, reporting, and revenue calculations.
Assist in gathering and analyzing data from new and existing sources of revenue for potential opportunities.
Manage all aspects of the budgeting process, including setting up and maintaining Adaptive Insights, preparing reports for review, importing budget to GP and updating Management Reporter for the new fiscal year.
Must have experience with Great Plains.
Requirements
6-8 years of work experience or equivalent education in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial analysis ratios and tools.
Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision and willing to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
Proven abilities to analyze, develop and implement successful solutions to challenges facing the Center.
Advanced computer skills including Excel (e.g., Pivot tables, VLOOKUP), accounting systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics; Word, Power Point, Access database and other database systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
