Job Title: Experimental Machinist 2

Job Description

As an Experimental Machinist 2 specializing as a Tube Fabricator, you will fabricate and assemble semi-complex tubing components for aerospace vehicles. You will use hand tools, power tools, rotary draw bending machines, semi-automatic, automatic, and CNC equipment, as well as measuring instruments and systems. You will work with limited direction on new assignments, ensuring that tubing assemblies adhere to work orders, drawings, and specifications in an accurate and timely manner.

Hard Skills

• Fabrication and assembly of tubing components

• Operation and maintenance of fabrication equipment

• Selection of mandrel and dye sets

• Tube geometry checking using roamer measuring arm

• Proficient computer skills

• Operation of tube cutting equipment

• Removal of burrs, sharp edges, or scale from workpieces

• Tube end flaring

• Swage fitting installation

• Pressure testing

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 26 Weekly.

Work Environment
