UCLA Health Contract and Grants Supervisor in Los Angeles, California

Description

Under the leadership of the Department Chair, CAO, CFO, and other department leaders, this role is vital to the smooth operation of research funding administration. You will supervise and lead the pre- and post-award administration team, ensuring effective management of both internal and external research funding for the department's Principal Investigators (PIs). Collaborating closely with fellow research administrative staff, you will play a key role in supporting innovative research by guiding the funding process from start to finish, ensuring compliance, and providing critical oversight to maximize the department's research potential.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Over 10 years of relevant experience

  • MBA in Finance or a related finance degree

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing center grants, including the development, implementation, and oversight of grant-funded projects.

  • Demonstrated experience in overseeing the administration of training grants, including effective budget management, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and timely reporting of outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing and administering complex grants that involve multiple stakeholders, intricate budget structures, and comprehensive project scopes.

Salary: $7,716.67 - $16,850 monthly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

  • 5+ years of experience in Research Administration.

  • Proven experience as an effective team leader and supervisor, guiding team members to success.

  • Expanded knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, including interpreting financial statements.

  • Strengthened interpersonal skills for effective communication and relationship building.

  • Enhanced ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and comply with policies and regulations.

  • Improved analytical skills to analyze financial data and propose solutions.

  • Heightened attention to detail in managing complex administrative and financial tasks.

  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software.
