Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the real estate industry, based in Los Angeles, California. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing monthly closings, maintaining general ledgers, preparing and submitting financial statements, budgets, and renewing contracts with agencies. The role involves the use of various accounting software systems and requires skills in accounts payable and receivable, auditing, and budget processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly closing processes including preparing and posting journal entries

• Review and maintain monthly schedules for balance sheet accounts

• Prepare and submit periodic financial statements including balance sheets, budget to actual variance analysis, and cash flow reports

• Compile data, prepare operating budgets, and submit them to agencies for approval

• Renew contracts with federal, state, or local agencies

• Update and maintain project data within budget files and enter budget amounts into the accounting system

• Research and write clear responses to questions and requests from agencies, owners, and outside auditors

• Complete special projects assigned within the specified time frame. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is necessary

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Proficiency in ERP Solutions

• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) is required

• Ability to manage Accounting Functions effectively

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven skills in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes is required
