TAD PGS, Inc. EHS Technician in Los Alamitos, California

We have an outstanding Contract position for anEHS Technicianto join a leading Company located in theLos Alamitos, CAsurrounding area.

Pay Rate: $23

Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance in all areas of environmental, health, and safety through daily collaboration with the EHS team. This position will carry an emphasis on environmental compliance through the daily collection of field data, sampling, auditing, monitoring, and reporting.

Responsibilities :

  • Measure, record, and communicate data to the EHS Director as instructed

  • Maintain daily functions for wastewater treatment system as instructed; including monitoring, inspection, sample collection, and data gathering

  • Perform daily/weekly/monthly/annual operation and maintenance tasks as instructed

  • Ensure adherence to site-specific manuals, records of inspections, and regulatory sampling schedules

  • Collect and report on assigned KPIs

  • Assist in the implementation and evaluation of EHS programs, policies, and procedures

  • Complete assigned tasks to ensure the organization complies with current federal, State, and local regulations

  • Audit equipment, procedures, training, and recordkeeping gaps and improvement opportunities

  • Maintain electronic records relating to incident reporting and corrective actions

  • Assist and participate in the Emergency Response Team

  • Assist in the development of training programs and deliver training as required

  • Must be able to communicate with all levels of management and workers using a variety of methods, tools, and techniques

  • Provide rotational on-call support for all after-hours EHS concerns/emergencies if needed or as needed

    Basic Hiring Criteria :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience preferred

    Desired Qualifications :

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

  • Knowledge of wastewater discharge, sampling, and treatment is a plus but not required

  • Ability to use handheld meters for water sampling and document data on field logs

  • Understanding of collecting and measuring KPIs in order to make data-driven decisions

  • Experience with documenting procedures and participating in executing EHS programs is a plus but not required

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision after receiving detailed instruction and expectations

  • Ability to develop and deliver training programs as required

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, large general industry environment

  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Communication skills both written and verbal
