Transdev Human Resources Manager in Lorton, Virginia

The Human Resources Manager acts as a business partner by implementing Company HR strategy and by providing HR guidance, tools and support to local management teams on a daily basis.This position will represent the overall HR function with the highest level of integrity at all times sharing the Company’s vision and operating principals.

DUTIES:

1.Responsible for interpretation, and implementation of policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations to all employees.

2.Proactively monitors all processes and policies to ensurecompliance with all functional state and federal regulations, rules and laws, e.g., Title VII, ADA, EEO, Affirmative Action, etc. Keep abreast of updated federal and state employment laws and regulations.

3.Provides guidance and direction and acts as a department liaison regarding various issues for management.

4.Ensures that staffing levels are maintained. This includes staffing plans, overseeing hiring campaigns, post positions in iCIMS, screening candidates and hiring employees, conducting orientations, retention, etc. (e.g., utilizes HRIS system).Will also be responsible for interacting and establishing a relationship with outside agencies in the effort to increase the applicant pool.

5.Supportmanagementinforecastingandplanningthroughstaffing;ensurerequirementsarein line with requirements.

6.Provideexpertadviceandcoachingtomanagementandemployeeswhereappropriate.

7.Handles employee investigations in response to Ethic Hotline Complaints, EEOC Claims, incidents, grievances, etc.

8.MaintainspersonnelfilesandmedicalfilesandroutinelyauditsI-9documents.

9.Responsibleforwritingofferletters,coordinatingworkflow,delegatingassignments, handling conflict resolutions, maintaining accurate files and timesheets.

10.ResponsibleforenteringnewhireemployeesandchangesintoADPandVDS.

11.Responsibleforaccuratelyprocessingbi-weeklypayrollforallemployeesatthefacility.

12.Contribute to the business strategy by identifying, prioritize and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, processes.

13.Will be responsible for Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) interruption and adherence. Will also assist in union contract negotiations to ensure that the appropriate issues are addressed accordingly and timely with functional departments and labor team.

14.ManageFMLAandotherleavesatthefacility.

15.Handlestimelyresponsestounemploymentclaims.

16.Maintain close contact with Regional HR team/functional departments to work in synchronization with regional needs.

17.Otherresponsibilitiesasassigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

·Bachelor’sdegreeinHumanResources,BusinessAdministrationorrelateddiscipline, preferred.

·3-5yearsexperienceofHRGeneralistexperienceor5yearsinmanagementposition.

·3-5yearsheavyrecruitingexperience.

·Experience working in a union environment;specifically assisting withunion negotiationsand grievances.

·Transportationexperiencehelpful.

·Experienceworkingwithandknowledgeoffederalandstateemploymentlaws.

·Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence people at all levels of the organization, both vertical and horizontal.

·Provenproblem-solvingskills.

·Highlyorganizedanddetailorientedwiththeabilitytohandlemultipleprojects simultaneously while exceeding established goals and objectives.

·ProficientinADPandHRISsystems(i.e.,entering,runningreports,etc.).

·TrapezeandVDSexperiencehelpful.

·Abletointeracteffectivelywithavarietyofinternalandexternalcustomersinvarious positions.

·ProficientinMicrosoftOfficesoftware,Excel,andAccess.
